NESTA Banter in London Connecting New Businesses

NESTA is launching a new community site for Start-up businesses and those supporting them. We want you to be part of it - we'll be sending you your membership details when we launch on March 1st.  

To celebrate this launch we are organising NESTA Banter: a Networking event for you to get to meet the other members of this community face to face and virtually – yes, we are getting a bit technical and will be hooking 5 cities up with video link ups.  This is a chance for you to get a sense of the rich community you are an important part of, and it will have presentations and showcases from members of the community. There will also be a chance to banter over drinks and nibbles.

We've scoured our little black books for the most lively and interesting speakers, including NESTA awardees and other inspiring creatives.

·         Lizzie Jackson – BBC community guru

·         Ian Gouldstone – BAFTA award winning animatorGavin ·         Richard Brown – interaction designer working on sophisticated and immersive human computer interactions

·         Rose Kane – Designer who has developed an innovative bread baking technique

·         Chris Murphy – described as "a William Morris for the digital age" by Creative Review

·         Hannah Campion – Fine artist who combines underwater photography and industrial spray guns

·         Richard Taylor – runs ‘to what end’ a challenging creative practice excited by worthwhile ends

·         Laura Williams and Nina Belk – Service design duo who run Zest Innovation

·         Kiaran Khan – made-to-measure ethnic evening and bridal wear designer

·         Gaylie Runcimen – runs an award winning digital media and animation company rm-star

We will be putting together a show real of work from members of the community which we will be showing on the night.
